Wind from the North- moderate- most boats on B - Rig changing to a light sea breeze in the afternoon - A- Rig. Today was hot and uncomfortable a scorching 38 degrees. The fleet was split into two heats resulting in less completed races. 16 heats completed for the day. The yellow hat after day 1 goes to Dennis McLoughlin. All the indications are of a closely contested series.
